Merits will take place at 9.00am on Friday morning. Certificates and achievements from home can be brought, please try and limit to one per child.

It is the FIRST SWIM for Class 2 and Y6. LONG HAIR WILL NEED TO BE TIED BACK OR A SWIM HAT WORN. If you plan to collect from the pool, please email office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 1.00pm on the day.

Please remember to order lunches by Tuesday 26^th May for the following week (when we return to school.

Please make bookings for wraparound care to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 3.30pm on Friday. Please also remember our new arrangements for making bookings, these must be received by 3.30pm on Friday.

The Y6 have almost completed their SATs this week. Watching them during the assessments has shown that they were focussed and committed to giving their all, well done Y6.

Tomorrow will be the last time we will see Mr. Jolly Walker for some time. As many of you know, he is training to be a teacher and he is on placement for 10 weeks at St. Augustin’s in Worksop. We will miss him, but wish him all the very best.

We will be welcoming a trainee (same course as Mr. Jolly Walker) to work alongside Mrs. Downing and the staff in Class 1, we look forward to welcoming Miss Holt from Monday. She has been to visit and has met the children.

There will be no Merit assembly, but we will meet on the playground at 9.00am for the Egg Drop! Please remember to bring along those models! Everyone is welcome to come along and watch.

We break up for half term at 3.30pm. School is closed for INSET on Monday 1^st June and the children return on Tuesday 2^nd June.
