This week

Good morning,

It has been really good to welcome back the children this term. Our thoughts are still with those children and families who are isolating, we look forward to seeing you back soon. I think the next week or two may be challenging due to the number of cases, but we will continue to work together in keeping everyone as safe as possible. Thank you, as ever, for your continued cooperation and understanding.

Lunch Menu will be Week 3.

Wednesday

Art Club – 3.30 to 4.30pm with Mrs. Kami

Book Squad – 3.30 to 4.15pm with Miss Newboult

You will have had an email to confirm places, these were unfortunately over-subscribed. If you have not had an email, your child cannot attend this time.

Thursday

Football – 3.30 to 4.30pm (KS2) – if you have not had an email, your child is included in the club. It will be cold so I suggest joggers/hoodies/base layer/gloves and hat – the open field does attract some cold winds!

Friday

Merits at 9.00am – please wear face coverings and it is recommended that all parents do take an LFT before entering school buildings.

Please make bookings for wraparound care to office@sturton.notts.sch.uk by 3.30pm tomorrow (Friday). PLEASE NOTE: there is no Afterschool on Thursday 3rd March & 19th May due to staff training

Class 3 have their Bikeability training wc 17th January – Year 6 Monday & Tuesday and Year 5 Wednesday & Thursday. All the children will need is a bike, helmet, PE kit, warm clothing – they’ll be outside most of both days. Bikes can be brought and left at school, they will be stored securely inside. More details will follow but if your child does not have a bike, please let me know and we will try and arrange one to borrow.

Also looking aheadFriday 21st January is Dress Down Friday – no fundraising, just something different to look forward to.

Have a safe and peaceful weekend.

Regards

Mark
