I appreciate it is the weekend and a Bank Holiday tomorrow, but the DFE issued updated guidance this morning and I wanted to share it with you. There are several families who have already notified me that they have positive cases in their households.

Experience tells me that most families who have a positive case in the house find that other family members do test positive in time. This variant is so much more transmissible too, meaning there is an increased likelihood of others becoming infected. It is so very difficult to isolate away from young children, they need that regular contact with parents. I am strongly urging families to consider this and keep their child at home.

If you choose to send your child back to school, they must have a negative PCR result (please forward results to school for our records) before returning and must then test every day using LFTs for 7 days whilst attending school.

There will be no Merits this week. Details of clubs will be sent out later this week and they will begin wc 10^th January.
