The build up to Christmas!

Good morning,

Thank you for all the costumes that have appeared in school today ready for performances next week, I can’t wait!

Thank you also to all the people who have responded to the lunch choices and Christmas Lunch request so far, there are still a small number of requests we are awaiting, please click here to complete the request.

We have our dress rehearsals on Monday for Foundation & Class 1 and Tuesday for Classes 2 & 3. There is no need for Foundation 1 children to be here that day if they are not usually in, there will be a run through on Wednesday morning. Children in Foundation who are not normally in on a Wednesday, should be in for the full day.

Details and arrangements for performances:

Wednesday – Foundation & Class 1 performances at 2.00pm and 6.00pm

Thursday – Classes 2 & 3 performances at 2.00pm and 6.00pm.

The doors will open (via the car park) at 1.45pm for the afternoon performance, regardless of the weather. Please wear a face covering and take a seat straight away. There will be a raffle to raise money for PTFA funds, this will be drawn at the evening performance on Thursday.

The doors will open (via the car park) at 5.45pm for the evening performance, regardless of the weather. Children should be sent to the school front door from 5.45pm and will be held in the classroom. Please wear a face covering and take a seat straight away. There will be a raffle to raise money for PTFA funds, this will be drawn at the evening performance on Thursday.

There will be seats for every ticket holder, please ensure you bring tickets with you, to control numbers, there will be no extra people allowed.

After the afternoon performances, we ask the audience to leave the hall as quickly as possible and wait in the car park at the end of the show. Children will be allowed home at the end of performances if you wish, otherwise they will remain in school until 3.30pm. Children will be dismissed through the hall doors.

Children should come back to the evening performance in their costumes – they will not be changing.

At the evening performances, we also ask the audience to leave the hall as quickly as possible and wait in the car park at the end of the show. Children will then be dismissed from the front door (Foundation) and the hall door (Class1). For Classes 2 & 3 we will use the front door for Class 3 and the hall doors for Class 2.

If you have any tickets that are not now required, please return them to school as we have people waiting for extra.

The hall will be ventilated during the performances, and along with face coverings, will limit the spread of any potential virus.

Photos can be taken at the performances, there will be time at the end to get some full cast photos, but these should only be kept for personal use and not released to full public social media sites.

On Friday it is Christmas Lunch as well as Christmas Jumper Day. This is a fundraising day for Save The Children, and the donation bucket will at the school entrance on Friday morning.

In the following week, wc 13th December we have the parties. Foundation and Class 1 will have theirs on Wednesday afternoon and Classes 2 & 3 will have theirs on Thursday afternoon. Party clothes can be brought to change into. Food requests will be sent out next week for a party buffet.

The school Christmas PTFA Disco is on Wednesday 15th December from 6.00 – 7.30pm. We are not allowing any parents to stay with children at this event, there will be staff members as well as the PTFA committee attending. Details for this will be sent out next week.

There is no AFTERSCHOOL on THURSDAY 16th DECEMBER.

On Friday 17th December, we finish term with our Christingle Service in Church at 2.00pm, when everyone is invited. This is a super traditional event and everyone is welcome. We request that face coverings are worn in Church. At the end of the service, children are able to leave with parents and begin the Christmas break.

We return to school on Tuesday 4th January.

I will keep updating as we travel through the next two weeks so that you are kept up to date with all details and arrangements. If you have any questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
